I have seen in movies laser shot is slower than a bullet Do a laser gun even exist?
1. Superman. 2. A speeding bullet. 3. A bullet train. 4. Training a bird to talk. 5. Speach 3. The Quad Laser. 7. The Boeing 787. 8. Memory loss. 9. Speedy Gonzalez. 10. ___________________ FYI Please indicate your planet for our demographics department.
When the Israeli military attacked and took over the civilian ships of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla it had its forces collect and destroy all media devices on the civilian ships. This included laptops, video cameras, cell phones, photography cameras, and other electronic media devices. But apparently, Brazilian-American filmmaker and director of South Korean origin, Iara Lee was able to pass the footage in a memory card secured in her underwear. When you watch the video, you see the passengers feared for their lives as Israeli troops trained laser sights on the activists. Israeli troops opened fire before boarding the vessel. The Israeli soldiers approached the ship and threw sound and gas bombs. Then Israeli soldiers descend onto the ship from helicopters and the sound of bullets follows. Passengers on other ships in the flotilla say they were threatened at gunpoint. I strictly believe that they had the right to defend themselves against armed forces when they were targeted in the international waters, but it seems Israel created panic to cold-bloodedly murder the peace activists and have a "justified" reason. They collected and destroyed all media devices on the civilian ships and censored news to hide it.
Suppose the following condition... As we all know, light moves at the same speed through space, compared to all objects. Like the "Space Cop" condition: A robber tried to steal from a space train moving near the speed of light (.999999999999 speed of light, let's say). But a laser armed space cop was waiting for him, and chased him out to the roof of the train. Another space police officer is waiting at a comparatively non-moving checkpoint, also armed with a laser. As the train nears the checkpoint, traveling toward it, the robber tries to jump off, seeing himself cornered. Both officers fire at the criminal from their equidistant points. Whose laser hits first? Were it a bullet, the checkpoint officer's weapon would strike first, since his weapon is firing against the speed of the train. But being a laser, they hit at the same time. At one point, I thought I understood it, only to enter my high school physics class and be totally confused once more. So I post the following query to see if maybe I can understand a bit more, the mystery that is light. Two space ships move away from a center point at the same time, going the same speed, half the speed of light (.5 exactly... or maybe more). One of them tries to send a light signal to the other one, but ideally, the light signal should never catch the other space ship. Yet... from what little I understand, it would. HOW THE - - - - DOES THAT HAPPEN!?!? If you understand light, please let me know how the laws of physics breaks itself. Thank you. A cite would be nice to back up any and all facts used...
I have a personally owned Colt Combat Commander 1991. Is it harmful to dry fire this weapon? When training, we dry-fire our issued weapons quite a bit. I always thought dry-fire wasn't a good thing. For those who have a tendency to take things too literally, I mean "is it harmfulr to the firearm?" Issued weapon: Sig P228 9mm
im gonna start hunting this winter, and i shot my grandpas 30-30 and i have a habit of flinching when i pull the trigger. when my brother was in grass week with the USMC Basic Training, he shot dry shots for like one whole week. is there a special round they would use? or do u just use an empty shell again and again so you get out of the habit of flinching? thanks!
I accidentally chose a best answer for this question, but I would still like more input from people:) I would like to say for some of those people that answered my question before that said "I'm not so good either", that I'm not at all bad at swimming, and I have finally discovered a sport that I'm good at and am coordinated for (land is not my friend! haha). When I meant I've slowed down after starting dry-land training, I'm saying that I've gone from 24 seconds on my Long Course 50M sprint to a 31, and my 100 from a 51 to 59. That sort of thing. Sorry for going on and on, but this is the sort of thing that gets me going and fired up. As soon as someone says I can't do something, or I'm not fast enough to win...I do everything to prove them wrong. I'm very competitive:) So here it is: I've been on a swim team for 4 months, and I've improved far better than I (and my coach) ever imagined. I decided to incorporate dry land training into my exercise regimen, which is 45 minutes of intense strength interval training (with some cardio mixed in)...mostly with a medicine ball. I started this 3 days ago, and now when I'm at swim practice, I have slowed down!!! Is this normal when one first starts dry-land training? Also, if this is true, how long does it taken before I would start to see improvement in my swim times and get faster during practice? Thanks. THANKS EVERYONE!~
I live in Manhattan new york, and would really like to get some target practice done, only problem is, im 12. I was gunna buy an airsoft, but then i found out it was illegal. What should i do?
Im a new gun collector and I would like to try my hand at competitive marksmanship.
I want to know what I'm getting myself into. I know the Marines spend 2 weeks on marksmanship, but does the Army teach their own just as good? Can a Soldier be an excellent shot as a Marine?
I've always heard to not dry fire a center fire gun, but then they say it wont hurt to do it to a rimfire, If they both have to achieve them same thing in the end, striking the primmer, then you would think that they would be so similar that what was bad for one would be bad for the other. Is this really true, and if so why is it different?
Is it bad to dry fire my new airsoft m324 sniper rifle? I know its bad for electric guns, but didn't know about springers.
I have a large case of unused, unopened Fire Stix brand dry fire starters. I want to put them up for auction on eBay. Are there any restrictions on shipping these items?

Did she and Chelsie have to run for cover on the tarmak.
I got into a "fight" at school. I ended up slapping a girl. Tomorrow I have in-school-suspension (iss). Many witnesses saw the girl I slapped hit me first, but I don't have any knowledge of feeling it. Thinking about it, she could of right before I slapped her. I was wondering if the brain can trigger a physical reaction to something the body didn't feel? If there is help me figure out how to get out of isss please.
I have heard and read several reports about FIFA instructing the refs to crack down and issue more cards for "hard" fouls. However, it seems I have heard this before every World Cup. Is it just a warning to teams, or do you think they are serious? I would hate to see trigger happy refs slapping reds and affecting games. The only thing they should crack down on are tackles from behind/or high, and "divers". Other than that - just let them play.
It's the same child I was talking about when I asked about restroom tips. He only acts out (shoving, punching, and kicking) when about 15+ students are around him. I haven't seen anything to trigger this behavior other than the presense of the other students. Ex. When taking him to PE and told him to run the track he began shoving the girls in front of him. Later when a little girl tried to hold his hand while they walked he was okay with it for about 10 min then he tried to pull the girl down and shouted "let go!". Ex. During lunch while sitting by a girl he grabbed the straw from her milk and threw it at her. All without provocation. Ex. During a school assembly while sitting in the back row of about 200 students he began slapping and shoving another autistic child. Once again without provocation. Another aide took him and talked to him but when she brought him back he once again kicked this other kid. He has alot of potential, I just need to get it out of him.
my B/f and I want to go to a shooting range, we want to try something new. my question is, is it something you can just go do or do you have to take a class or get a license for? If not, does anyone know of any good places in either NY (not upstate ny) or NJ
How old do you have to be to shoot at the calverton shooting range on long island? The website does not specify.

During my son's birth on year 2007 I had an epidural to ease thw pain, currently undergoing firearm training and having extreme back pain.Could this be the effect of the epidural?
I watch my sister's son in the afternoon. Lately I've been taking him to the local range a couple of times a week. I even bought him his own .38 that stays at my house. He's not allowed to have it without adult supervision. He's been through the NRA approved safety courses and takes safety seriously. My sister found out and hit the ceiling. She claims to not be against guns but thinks that ten is too young even though Dad took both of us out when we were much younger and let us shoot.
fundamental marksmanship, combat/survival shooting, and judgmental shooting (These are areas in which prospective FBI agents train in)
I am newbie to firearm and want to take a 1 or 2 hour session before going out and buying a piece. Where can I find the list?
I want to start a small part time business instructing people on the use of firearms, particularly handguns. I know you must attend an NRA Instructor Course or its equivalent, and submit it to the state to be state certified and to teach in a school. But, if I am only teaching people one on one outside of any school, do I have to attend the course and be registered with the state, or can I simply go about running my business as I see fit? Thanks in advance
A friend of mine moved from Ky to Fl . While in Ky he was a firearms instructor(still valid). Can he use the certificate from the state of Ky instead of taking a firearms class in Fl
I've heard a few different answers but it's just a bunch of hear-say. My question is if it's possible to use a personal weapon on deployment. I've heard that it's accepted as long as your plt sgt or commander gets it put onto the CMR and it meets NATO criteria of course. I don't care so much about rifles or anything, just the 9mm. And if possible, does anybody know the MARADMIN that specifies this? Thanks
I flew in throught the airport with the optic in my carry on, but I am told that in Baghdad International Airport they will take it if I travel through with it. WTF!?!
Everyone on my rifle team has to make a poster that promotes gun safety for the state fair. I can't decide what rule is most important. What do you think the most important safety rule is?

I have a few pistols that are in excellent condition and would like to maybe trade them for guns at gun shows or gun stores. How does gun trading work? How does a typical gun trading deal go down? Thanks!
My husband has never gone hunting, something he and I would both love to do. I would like to surprise him with a hunting license and rifle so he can go hunting with some of his friends. What would be an ideal rifle for someone who has never fired a rifle before but would also put down a deer? And what can I expect to spend for new or used rifle? Thanks for any help!
There is a famous photo of Malcolm X standing at a window, looking out, with a rifle in his right hand. What type of rifle is it?
I am lookin to buy my first rifle and i am wondering what kind and caliber i should get. I have shot weapons before but it has been a while. I am looking for something that is dead on at 200 yards or so and has enough stopping power to bring a deer down. I am wanting to use it as a hunting rifle and also for some moderate range target shooting. Something around $200 or a bit more would be the price range.
I know that i can buy .22 cal ammo because they are used in rifles also. Basically, what i'm looking for is ammo that is used in handguns and in rifles, thus making it legal for an 18 year old to buy. Can i buy 9MM ammo? (there are rifles that use 9MM) What other pistol calibers can i get?
I have several boxes of 9mm ammo that are about 8 - 10 years old. Is it safe to shoot ammo this old? Generally, how long can this type of ammo be safely stored if kept inside the house in a climate controlled environment?
I recently bought a Walther G22 rifle with a working suppressor, but the suppressor has a warning that it has to be used only with sub sonic ammo. I want to use high velocity ammo (even if the suppressor is less effective) because the sub sonic ammo is really messy (a lot of lead fouling and gun powder residue), but my fear is that shooting high velocity ammo throught the suppressor may damage the suppressor, the rifle or both.
I need to buy some ammunition for my 1942 mosin nagant WWII rifle. it shoots the 7.62x54r round. They have it at gander mtn. So can I (16 year old) buy this ammo in MN?
I Own A Belt With Live Rifle Ammunition In It, And Was Wondering If I Could Get In Trouble For Wearing It..
I am going on a hunting trip to Texas. I've never brought a fire arm on a plane trip before. What do I have to do to bring a hunting rifle and ammunition with me when I fly to Texas?
I'm looking for the name/type of ammunition that shatters inside of you, and who invented it , and some examples of what it could be used for. And is there a particular website I can go to for research on different bullets? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
I have noticed a shortage of ammunition all across the country.. Mainly the military variety.. ie 9mm, 223, 308 and 50 bmg.. It seems that you can not find these any where.. I was wondering why... Perhaps it is due to a military shortage abroad... Any way if you know please let me know...
I want to start reloading my ammunition. What exactly do I need to buy? i want to reload shotgun and rifle ammunition. mostly 20 gauge, .308, 30-30 ammunition. if you can tell me what exactly i need and what some good brands to buy from it would be a big help. I would not like to exceed $250 but if it will cost more its ok.
If your a cop, are you allowed to carry a concealed weapon? I know that a normal citizen has to get a permit but i wasn't sure if cops got an automatic "permit"??
I am a Virginia resident and I currently have a Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit which is recognized in about 15 other states. I have family in Maryland and visit there often and have to leave my weapon home because states such as Maryland and California do not recognize Virginia Concealed Handgun Permits. I know there is a way to get a permit to carry concealed in all states and just need to know how I can get one. A friend at work mentioned something about going threw the U.S Department Of Justice or Federal Bureau of Investigations (F.B.I) to get a permit that covers all states but I am not sure where I go at on the sites to get the forms. I have never been in trouble with the law and have no felonies of any kind. How can I get a concealed weapon permit to carry a handgun in all states? A link and instructions on how to apply perhaps would be great.
Is it legal to carry a concealed weapon in retail stores in MISSOURI? I hear Schnuck now allows concealed weapons in their stores but what about other stores like BestBuy, Walmart, Sam's? Thank you. Yes, I have a FOID card from ILLINOIS, I live in East Saint Louis, IL.
